Our founder, Jon Krieger, spent over 30 years in law enforcement, serving in supervisory roles across patrol, internal affairs, traffic, and community outreach. His firsthand understanding of what real protection requires—discipline, discretion, and calm under pressure—shaped the foundation of Defender One.
Today, Jon and his wife Jennifer lead the company together, staying personally involved in daily operations. That means every client gets the accountability, follow-through, and service they deserve—not just from a team, but from the people who run it.

Jon Krieger
Owner & Director of Operations
Jon Krieger is the President and Founder of Defender One. After a 30-year law enforcement career—including leadership in patrol, internal affairs, and community outreach—he founded the company in 2009 to raise the standard in private security. Jon holds a Criminal Justice degree from the University of Maryland. He enjoys time with his dog Abe, his grand-dogs Fred and Barney, and watching his daughter play Division 1 lacrosse.
Jennifer Krieger
Chief Administrative Officer
Jennifer Krieger is Defender One’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing HR, finance, and operations. She brings 30 years of experience in benefits administration, financial planning, and human resources. Jennifer holds degrees from the University of Maryland and Loyola University. She enjoys running, spending time with her grand-dogs, and watching her daughter play Division 1 lacrosse.
